Police Interviews
If you ever find yourself in a situation where you have been accused of committing a criminal offence by the Police under a number of possible circumstances:
- Arrested in a public place
- Apprehended whilst driving a motor vehicle
- A warrant executed at your home, address or workplace
- Requested by Police to attend a Police Station for the purposes of an interview
- Charged by Police based upon the evidence provided to them by an “alleged witness”
Numerous criminal circumstances
There are numerous varying circumstances arising particularly in recent times in relation to intruders or assailants invading your home, property or privacy and in the process of defending yourself, you may be falsely accused as being the aggressor.
In other circumstances, such as in road rage, where the aggressor makes false allegations against you and pretends to be the innocent victim and you may find yourself explaining circumstances to the Police.
If you find yourself in similar circumstances to those set out above, we strongly recommend that you immediately contact Velos & Velos Lawyers who can obtain full details as to the circumstances arising and discuss the matter with the Police, advise you of your rights and, if criminal charges are brought against you, to be in a position to strenuously defend you, particularly if you believe that you are innocent.
In such cases, experienced Barristers will need to be instructed and the matter to be dealt with in Court so that ultimately you may be in a position to prove your innocence.
It is always advisable to obtain legal advice prior to Police Interviews so that you are fully aware of your rights in the event that you say or do things that might be interpreted against you in due course.
